Match Score: A Clearer Way to Show Product Relevance

Specpoint is changing how product relevance is displayed.

Product badges are being replaced with Match Score: a more transparent way for specifiers to see how closely a product aligns with the section requirements they're actively working in.

What is Match Score?

Match Score shows specifiers how closely a product aligns to the specific section requirements they're reviewing as they build out their specs.

The higher the score, the stronger the fit and the more visible your products are to the right specifiers at the right moment.

How your products will transition

Already have a MasterSpec Badge?

If your products currently carry a MasterSpec Badge, the transition is automatic: those products will receive a 100% Match Score.

If you don’t have any MasterSpec badges

For all other products already in Specpoint, your Match Score will be set automatically based on your existing product data and how it aligns to relevant section requirements.

What Match Score means for your business

  • Specifiers can quickly understand how your products align with the section they're working in.

  • Visibility is driven by product data alignment, not badge status.

  • You have a clearer path to improve reach across relevant sections.

Expand your reach in Specpoint

Specpoint puts your products in front of specifiers while they're actively building specs—that's when product selection decisions are made.

More products in the platform means more opportunities to surface in relevant searches. Your Match Score ensures you're appearing where your products are the best fit. Every product you add is another chance to be specified before a project goes to bid.
