AEC Cares, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that brings together members of the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries, will host a one-day "Blitz Build" Day of Service on Wednesday, June 10, benefiting Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego's Rachel's Women's Center. Members of the media are invited to attend a press event at 10:30 a.m. (PT).
This marks the first major remodeling of the facility since it opened more than 40 years ago. The project will bring together more than 100 volunteers from the architecture, engineering, and construction industries to transform the 4,500-square-foot facility into a more welcoming, restorative space for women experiencing homelessness. The renovation effort will focus on improving space utilization, refreshing interiors with new décor and furniture, and enhancing the overall environment of the facility.
