Upgrading to ConstructConnect© Project Intelligence

Q: When is the migration happening?

Customers will start enjoying the ConstructConnect© Project Intelligence platform as soon as December 1, 2025.

Q: What is the new platform I’m moving to?

The new platform is called ConstructConnect Project Intelligence. To learn more about this, check out our page here

Q: How do I get started?

On your migration day, you will receive an email with a link to set up your password on the ConstructConnect Project Intelligence platform. You’ll login with the same email address you used to login on to ConstructConnect Insight.

Once your account has been upgraded to ConstructConnect Project Intelligence, you will no longer be able to access your ConstructConnect Insight account. Don’t worry! We’ll have a helpful message there to re-direct you to your new platform.

Q: What are the benefits of my upgraded experience?

You can expect all the same features you love—plus a more robust, easy-to-use platform. We’ll move all of your Saved Searches, Projects, and Companies—plus your Profile elements—to your new platform.

Here is how you’ll benefit from using ConstructConnect Project Intelligence:

  • We promote your company to thousands of iSqFt©, ConstructConnect and SmartBid© network general contractors. When our network contractors are looking for subs, we surface your company's name so you receive targeted Invitations to Bid from the best builders in your area.
  • These invitations to bid are automatically added to your ConstructConnect experience through your free digital bid board called Bid Center (learn more here).
  • You’ll also have access to Project Intelligence-only functionality to save you time, grow your network, and stay competitive. Keep an eye out for fan favorite features like Map View, Interested Parties, Bid Submission, and much more...

Q: What’s Bid Center and how can it help me?

Bid Center is a digital bid board designed to help you manage and organize your entire bid pipeline, including invitations to bid from general contractors. It is also the only digital bid board that connects directly to the best and most comprehensive construction data. Bid Center helps you manage your bid pipeline in many ways, including:

  • Track projects through your pipeline for visibility
  • Assign projects to other users in your company for ownership
  • Calendar, card, tab, and list views for all your planning needs

Q: What if I already have a ConstructConnect account? Do I have to re-register?

You can login using the credentials you already set up! And when your account group gets upgraded, your data will be transferred over automatically.

Q: How do I make sure that I’m seeing projects that I’m interested in?

The projects you will see in ConstructConnect Project Intelligence are tied directly to your profile. You can easily and quickly update your profile by:

  • Clicking on your name in the top right corner to access the menu
  • Find your key profile information under Profile Information
  • For specific search filters and ConstructConnect network data, click on Predict Preferences

IMPORTANT: Setting up your Predict Preferences is critical because this is how you and your company are promoted to our network of general contractors.

Once you dive into your Profile, there are 7 different preferences you’ll need to complete:

  1. Trades. This tells Network GCs the type of work you’re willing to do. You can search for your trades in 3 different ways: Scope of Work, keyword, and division.
  2. Service area. This tells GCs the geographic area in which you perform your work.
  3. Favorite Companies. Identify which construction companies you now work with and which ones you would like to work with. Selecting a “Favorite Company” means you’ll be notified when they’re added to a project.
  4. Building Use. Identify which types of construction projects your company prefers to work on.
  5. Project Status. Select the phase of construction you're looking for—whether in planning, bidding, or even post-bid.
  6. Project Sector. Select if you are open to privately and/or publicly funded jobs.
  7. Project Value. Select the range of job sizes you're willing to work on for all reporting trades—not just sub-trades.

TIP: These 7 characteristics will drive your Match Score and let GCs in the ConstructConnect network know which type of work you perform.

Q: How do I start getting invitations to bid?

When you complete your profile set up on ConstructConnect Project Intelligence, you will have the ability to opt-in to the ConstructConnect network. This is how general contractors can find you and invite you to their projects.

Q: Where do I find my project invitations?

After you login to ConstructConnect, your project invitations can be found in Bid Center, located on the left navigation bar. Your invites will be grouped in different categories, based on your specified Bid Intent.

Here are more helpful tips to find and respond to Invitations to Bid:

  • Look at the Source column on Bid Center to determine if the ITB was sent through ConstructConnect, iSqFt, SmartBid or sources outside of ConstructConnect, or shared with you from another user in ConstructConnect.
  • Click on the project name to review the project when receiving an ITB from sources through ConstructConnect.
  • Look for the Bid Intent selector in the top right–hand corner of the project. This will help you to respond to the Inviting Source if you are Bidding, Not Bidding, or still Reviewing.
  • The project will be moved under the selected Status once you’ve responded to the GC.
  • From a project details page, select Back to Bid Center to see a full view of your pipeline.
  • To locate a project, click on the Status that you responded to the GC.

Q: How do I find and run my saved searches?

Click on the magnify glass named “Search” in the left navigation bar. Within the search page, you’ll see your saved searches on the top left side of the page. Moving forward, your five most recent searches will appear here.

Q: How do I create and receive daily email updates?

As part of your account upgrade, your daily email preferences will transfer to your ConstructConnect Project Intelligence account and you will continue receiving a daily email update. If you’d like to change the saved searches that are included in your daily email, follow these steps to update:

  • Go to the Search page
  • Click on View All Searches
  • Use the toggle next to a search under Email Alert to indicate which searches should be emailed to you (maximum of 5 searches)

Q: How do I watch a Project or Company?

You can watch a project by using your star button on your Bid Center, Search, or Project Details pages.

You simply:

  • Click the star listed on the left of the Project name
  • The star will turn gold showing that you are watching it
  • Start receiving updates on the project and see it in your Watchlist

You can choose to Watch a Company on the Company Details Page—simply click the Watch button in the top right-hand corner. You'll find links to click-through to company details pages in the contact section of specific project detail pages.

Q: How do I find my Watched Companies and Projects?

Simply go to Watchlist in the left navigation bar and choose from Project Watch List or Company Watch List

Q: How do I export project information?

While on the Search page, use the check box to select projects you would like to export. Once you have selected up to 100 projects, use the Export button and choose to export your current view (the columns currently displayed) or a detailed view (with full project detail information).

Once the information is ready to export, you will see a Save As window display.

Q: Can I still use my Search Tags?

As part of your upgrade, your saved search tags were transferred over to your ConstructConnect Project Intelligence account.

Here are some tips for using Search Tags:

  • Search Tags will allow you to see that the project meets the criteria of the search tag created.
  • Be sure to have the Search Tags column in your grid view.
  • Simply hover over the Search Tag icon to see the name of the Search Tag.
