Getting Started on ConstructConnect

You’re in the right place! Use this page for helpful tips on standard workflows. We also have step-by-step instructions on how to run Saved Searches, review Saved Projects and Companies, set up daily project emails, and more.

There are two ways to get signed in to your new experience:

1. On your migration date, you’ll receive an email from our team with a link to create a username and password:
   
   Subject: Welcome to ConstructConnect Sender
   Email: DoNotReply@ConstructConnectMail.com

   If you do not receive an email to this effect, check your spam filters and add ConstructConnect to your safe sender list in your email client.

2. Log in to the iSqFt application after your migration date. You’ll be provided a link to sign into ConstructConnect.

Once you've completed the log in process, you can sign up for an introductory training webinar or contact your Customer Success Representative:

There are two ways to locate your Saved Searches:

• Simply hover over the magnifying glass in the navigation menu on the right side of the page. A new window will pop up. You’ll be able to see and click on your Saved Searches.
• Navigate to the Search page and click on the Search bar. A module will pop up. You’ll be able to see and click on any of your Saved Searches.

IMPORTANT: Setting up your Predict Preferences (Profile) is critical because this is how you and your company are promoted to our network of GCs (ConstructConnect, iSqFt, and SmartBid).

The process for updating your Profile has changed. Simply click on your name in the top right-hand corner and select Predict Preferences.

Once you dive into your Profile, there are seven different preferences you’ll need to complete:

1. Trades - This tells general contractors the type of work that you’re willing to do for them. You can search for your trades in three different ways: Scope of Work, Keyword, and Division.
2. Service Area (previously known as Coverage Area) - This alerts general contractors to the geographic area in which you do your work.
3. Favorite Companies - Identify which construction companies you currently work with and those with which you would like to work. Selecting a “Favorite Company” means you’ll be notified when they’re added to a project.
4. Building Use - Identify which types of construction projects your company prefers.
5. Project Status - Select the phase of construction you're looking for—planning, bidding, or post-bid.
6. Project Sector - Select if you are open to receiving bid invitations for privately and/or publicly funded jobs.
7. Project Value - Select the range of job sizes you're willing to work on for all reporting trades—not just sub-trades.

TIP: These seven characteristics will drive your Match Score and let GCs in the ConstructConnect network know which type of work you perform. ConstructConnect will use this same information to match projects in our network and provide a match score—from 0 to 7—to help you prioritize the projects you find on the platform.

Your current leads service is now part of your upgrade to the ConstructConnect platform. You can expect all the same features you love in a more robust, easy-to-use solution. We’ve already moved all your Saved Searches, Projects, and Companies—as well as your Profile elements—to your new application.

Here is how you’ll benefit from using ConstructConnect:

• In addition to your promotion to iSqFt and ConstructConnect general contractors, your company will now be promoted to thousands of active general contractors on the SmartBid network.
• All your iSqFt, ConstructConnect, and SmartBid invitations are automatically added to ConstructConnect
• You’ll have access to a free Digital Bid Board and Bid Calendar with Bid Center.
• Digital takeoff tools are embedded in the Document Viewer for quick project vetting.

When you log in to ConstructConnect, you will now see Bid Center as your default start page. Bid Center is a digital bid board designed to help you manage and organize your entire bid pipeline.

Your invitations to bid (ITBs) for projects can most easily be found in Bid Center. Your invites will be grouped into different categories based on your specified bid intent.

For example:

• Find ITBs with no bid intent specified in your Inbox
• Find ITBs with a “Will Bid” Intent under the “Bidding” tab
• Find ITBs with a “Not Bidding” intent under the “Not Bidding” tab
• Find ITBs with an “Under Review” intent under the “Under Review” tab

You can also find ITBs by navigating to the Search page and using the Status filter to narrow down your list by your company’s Bid Response.

Here are more helpful tips to find and respond to ITBs:

• Look at the “Source” column on Bid Center to determine if the ITB was sent through ConstructConnect, iSqFt, sources outside of ConstructConnect, or shared with you from another user in ConstructConnect
• Click on the project name to review the project when receiving an ITB from sources through ConstructConnect
• Use the Bid Intent selection to respond to the inviting source to indicate your interest regarding the specific ITB: Bidding, Not Bidding, or Under Review
• The project will be moved under the status you selected once you’ve responded to the general contractor
• This information will also be reflected on the project details page. Look for the Bid Intent selector in the top right-hand corner of the project.

The process for updating email notifications has changed. Here’s how to do it now:

• Simply click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the screen
• Select Settings and Privacy
• Adjust as needed so you either get notifications from within the application or via email

The process to Watch Projects or Watch Companies has changed.

You can now Save or Watch a Project by using your star button on your Bid Center, Search, or Project Details pages.

You simply:

• Click the star listed on the left of the project's name
• The star will turn gold, indicating that this is one of your watched projects
• Start receiving updates on the project on your Select Task List as updates occur
• You can choose to Watch a Company on the Company Details Page by clicking on the Watch button in the top right-hand corner

The process to find your Watched Companies and Projects has changed.

Now you can:

• Locate all Projects and Companies you’re watching under the “Pulse/Heartbeat” icon found on the blue navigation bar
• Hover over this icon to select your Watch List

Printing Project Documents

Clicking on a project name from anywhere on the site will take you to the project details page. Under the Documents section, you can either click on the View/Download Documents button or any of the document numbers, and it will open in a new web browser tab.

On the left side, you can select Download All to download all the documents associated with the project, or you can select any of the checkboxes to the left of the document's name to select specific documents. The button will change from Download All to Download Selected.

Once the documents are downloaded to your computer, you can select the file and print the documents from your computer.

Printing Project & Bidder Details

Once you select a project, you’ll find you can download all project information by clicking the ellipses (...) located at the top right-hand corner of the project page. A new window will pop up, allowing you to select Print to PDF or Download to Excel.

Once the document has downloaded, you can select the file and print the documents from your computer.

Auto Search is now called Search Tags on the ConstructConnect platform. Search Tags enable you to see that the project meets your preferred criteria, allowing you to layer searches on top of one another.

• Search Tags are located to the right of the project listing
• Simply hover over the Search Tag and this will allow you to see the name of the Search Tag
• Previously, Auto Search allowed you to adjust by company. You can now adjust your Search Tags by users. Each user can set up or adjust what Keywords they are looking for.
