2016 iSqFt Trade Converter FAQ

Switching your account over to 2016 CSI codes will provide many benefits, such as: 

• More accurate CSI code matches in bidder search results  

• The newest  industry-standard CSI codes that can be used when managing projects and directory contacts 

• More relevant project invites being sent to subcontractors based on cleaner CSI code matching, which may increase response and bid rates 

No, this is a free service. We want to help you get the most out of your bid management tool, and this complimentary upgrade gives you the most accurate bidder search results.  

No, this is an optional change you can request to your account at any time. Based on customer feedback and the need to have accurate bidder search results, this tool was created for bid management customers to have their account CSI codes switched to the 2016 format. 

There are three primary changes you will see in your account:

1. Projects created after the account change will have the 2016 codes available to be added to the project trades.
2. Projects created before the account change will have the original CSI codes and all other project data preserved for historical reference. Note, you will only be able to add 2016 CSI Codes to projects moving forward after the CSI code account change.
3. Contacts in your private directory will have previous CSI codes converted to the new 2016 codes. When modifying codes on a contact after the change, the 2016 code set will be available to select from.

If you have created custom CSI codes, these codes will not be converted. They will instead be left intact with a “-A” added to the end so they can be identified as custom codes. For example, if the custom code 01001 existed in your account, it would be re-labeled as 01001-A after the account switch. 

The code conversion is an automated, overnight process. Once you and your team members have agreed on when you want the new codes to be available in your account, contact our customer service team to schedule the switch. Please review the following details before sending your request: 

• We kindly request two business days’ notice ahead of when you would like the CSI code change to be initiated on your account.  
• Please be aware that once the CSI code switch happens, you can only add 2016 CSI codes to your projects moving forward. Projects with CSI codes on them already will be preserved in their original format but only the 2016 codes can be added after the change. 
• Once the conversion is started, it cannot be stopped or reversed. 
• Note that the following changes will take place and are irreversible: 
• CSI code tables will display only 2016 codes and converted custom codes 
• Projects with codes on them will be left intact in the old format and only the 2016 codes can be used going forward 
• Directory contacts will be converted and displaying the relevant 2016 CSI code 
• This change is for your entire account. Please make sure that this code switch is understood and approved by all users within the account as everyone who manages projects and contacts will be impacted by the change.

1. Email address that you login to your iSqFt Bid Management account with.
2. Date that you would like the new codes to be in effect.
3. Stating you agree to the changes that are irreversible to your account.
